THE MOORINGS OF ARLINGTON HEIGHTS BEGINS $70M EXPANSION PROJECT

Arlington Heights, Ill. – June 6, 2016 – On Friday June 3, The Moorings of Arlington Heights, the Presbyterian Homes community, broke ground on a $70M expansion project that will include construction of a new chapel/fellowship hall and 70 additional assisted living apartments, scheduled to be completed by the end of 2017, and 20 new assisted living / memory support apartments, which are slated for completion the following year. On Tuesday, April 5th, Presbyterian Homes hosted a reception at its Westminster Place campus in Evanston to thank Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky for her advocacy on behalf of Illinois seniors. More than 60 seniors had the opportunity to hear Congresswoman Schakowsky talk about her work in Washington and to personally thank her for all she has done for seniors, from maintaining access to affordable senior housing to protecting Social Security and Medicare from privatization.
