Chief Financial Officer
Mark was named chief financial officer in 2012. He has more than 20 years of experience in financial leadership for continuing care retirement communities (CCRC).
Prior to joining Presbyterian Homes in Evanston, IL, Mark was vice president of finance at Presbyterian Communities and Services (PC&S), a multi-site CCRC and hospice organization in Dallas, Texas. He joined PC&S in 2008 and provided leadership in the areas of finance, information technology, strategic planning and operations as well as board and resident relations. Through his leadership at PC&S, the organization made vast improvements in the areas of revenue enhancement, cost containment, financial reporting, budgeting, management tools development and creating policies, procedures and standards.
Mark began his career at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL, in 1985. In 1988, he joined Christian Homes, Inc., in Lincoln, IL, where he took on progressively greater responsibilities and was named chief financial officer in 1999. Christian Homes operated 13 CCRC’s in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Indiana. Mark then joined Illinois Masonic Home in Sullivan, IL, in 2004 as controller and chief financial officer. He remained there until 2008 when he accepted the vice president of finance position with PC&S.
Born and raised in Springfield, IL, Mark obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Illinois – Springfield. He is a registered Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Illinois CPA Society.
