Executive Director, The Moorings of Arlington Heights
Lisa will oversee all community operations, manage its staff and foster resident relations. She will also manage the community through a $70 million major construction project; plans for a new assisted living wing and chapel are scheduled to break ground on June 3 of this year. Additionally, she will serve on the organization’s corporate leadership committee.
Most recently, Vandermark, who has worked for Presbyterian Homes for nearly 20 years, served as Administrator of Community Life at The Moorings. Prior to that, she was the Director of Memory Care for Foster Pavilion at Westminster Place in Evanston and, before that, a social worker at that same community. Before joining Presbyterian Homes, Vandermark was a crisis worker at both Evanston and Ravenswood hospitals. She was also a member of the adjunct faculty at Kendall College in Evanston where she developed curriculum for and taught courses on aging.
Vandermark, who resides on Chicago’s north side, obtained her Bachelor of Science degree (BS) from Ball State University and Master of Arts (MA) from the University of Chicago, The School of Social Service.
